Newlyfe bath towel in a caravan

What we can actually prove

Four cotton bath towels fill a caravan shelf beside four rolled Newlyfe bath towels that take a fraction of the space.
1

They take up the one shelf you can’t spare

Four cotton bath towels take a full shelf, and it is always the shelf you wanted for something else. A van is one long negotiation between what you need and where it goes, and towels lose that argument every single trip.

Room in the cupboard is the thing our customers raise more than anything else - more than drying, more than softness, more than sand.

“They are for our caravan and it is fantastic about the room they have saved.” - Roslyn C.

A damp cotton towel and a dry Newlyfe bath towel hanging side by side inside a caravan in the morning.
2

There is nowhere in a van for them to dry

A van holds a fraction of the air of your bathroom at home, and almost none of it moves. So the towel goes over the door, then a chair, then the shower screen – and the water in it has to go somewhere: onto the windows, the hatches and eventually the mattress.

The fix is a towel that lets go of its water fast. Newlyfe’s waffle-weave dries 2–3x faster than cotton. Hang it where the air moves – the awning arm, the ladder rail or the annexe line – and it’s ready by the next shower. On a wet day, hang it under the roof hatch with the fan on extract and a window cracked open.

“No one wants to travel with or use a damp towel.” - Catherine G.

3

You end up rationing towels

Someone showers, someone waits, and the towel that is still wet from yesterday gets used anyway. On a fortnight away that is just how it goes.

When drying stops being the constraint, the rationing stops too. You pack fewer and use them more.

“This towel was great - it not only dries you but it folds compactly for the van.” - Lynne S.

“Bought the 2 pack as a trial and was thrilled by the size, absorption and quick drying (& no musty smell).”
Jenn S
“They are super absorbent and they dry quickly, so no more smelly towels while traveling.”
Robyn G
“Did not get smelly in two weeks of camping.”

By day three, the whole van smells

Damp towel, warm cupboard, no airflow. By morning it’s still damp; by day three it smells. Most people put it down to the van. It isn’t the van. It’s the towel that never dries.

A towel that dries fast rarely gets the chance to go sour. Hang it outside where the air moves, and take it down before you drive – lay it loose instead of folding it away damp, and never in the same locker as your bedding. And because it dries so quickly, it doesn’t need washing after every use.

Sand falling off a Newlyfe bath towel shaken outside a caravan door after the beach.
5

And then the sand comes home with you

It works into the terry pile and travels - into the bag, the car, the bed, the machine.

No loops means nothing for sand to grip. Same fabric, same reason, two problems solved - which is the point. It isn’t five separate features, it’s one piece of construction.

“Ordered additional towels and then a set of the small towels.” - Fiona W.

Don’t take our word for it. Watch the water.

That’s Resh, Newlyfe’s owner, straight out of the pool with her arm still dripping. One pat with the bath towel.

Wet arm. One pat. Gone. No jug, no studio, no special effects. Just a real swim and a real towel, and you can judge it yourself in under 10 seconds.

Bought for the caravan I purchased 2 bath, 2 minis and love them. The absorbency is great, minis are a game changer as tea towels. Bought for the caravan, but now want more for home as well.

The questions people actually ask

They look thin. Will they actually dry me?

Yes. They’re thin on purpose. Cotton traps water in its loops. Our waffle weave spreads it out, so it dries you, then dries itself 2–3× faster than cotton.

Are they thick like hotel towels?

No. They’re thin on purpose. That’s what lets them dry fast and pack small.

Which set should I get?

Two of you: His and Hers. A couple or small family: the 4-Pack. A bigger family, or a spare set for the van: the 6-Pack.

How much space do they save?

Each towel folds to about half the size of a cotton towel.

Will they feel scratchy?

No. This isn’t the thin, squeaky microfibre people might be used to. Our bath towels are a premium waffle-weave microfibre, slightly thicker, soft and smooth on the skin. They feel different from fluffy cotton at first, and most people are used to them within a few uses. As Rodney from Brisbane put it, they “get softer every wash.”

They’re also OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Product Class I certified, which is the strictest class, used for baby articles, so they’re tested to the same standard as baby products.

Will they go musty?

Far less likely. They dry 2–3× faster than cotton, so they don’t sit damp and go sour. Just make sure it’s fully dry before you pack it away.

Can I choose my own colours?

These sets come in set colours. Want to pick your own? Build your own bath towel set here.

How do I wash them?

Wash before first use, cold (up to 30°C). No fabric softener, no dryer, no bleach. Line dry.

What does the 12-month warranty cover?

Manufacturing faults for 12 months. See our Returns and Refunds policy for further information
